Our 01 rio is throwing code 1166 and 0130 but we just put both o2 sensors on it. it seems to just all of a sudden start to sputter and lose power. when we turn the air on it gets even worse. we had the catalytic converter checked and its ok. also when it does lose power and sputter if you push the gas pedal to the floor it comes out oof it or if you work the pedal a little it sometimes comes out of it.

P0130 is an oxygen sensor heater malfunction code. Did you check for power and ground to the sensor heater circuit? If it's not getting power and ground it won't heat up and that will cause a P1166. You're throwing parts at it instead of diagnosing the root cause.

There is a black rubber button reset switch right next to the air box, press it sounds like the problem i had its a fuel pump reset (just in case of a wreck it kills the car) but there is a tiny ball in there and if it is rattled a little too much it will fall and you need to press the black looking button to reset it....took me like 4 months to figure it out

Best guess is O2 sensor is reading too much unburned fue in the exhaust for some reason and leaning out the fuel flow to compensate. Runs when you throw more throttle at it but leans out as you try to hold steady speed. Should throw a code though.

1999 honda accord seems like it isn't gettign a steady fuel supply, it keeps sputtering and almost dies but when I pump the gas pedal it revs back up. I just put a new O2 sensor in and it sounds l

First question is - is the check engine light on ?
If yes you should check it for codes next.
You may have to use a scanner to watch the O2 sensor to figure out if it is too lean or too rich. I would also check fuel pressure at the rail with a gauge to make sure pressure is normal. Could be a faulty fuel pressure regulator among other things.

Kia rio not starting

Timing belt should have been changed at 60,000 miles. A loose timing belt or teeth missing from synchronous belt will lose timing. Damage to valves can occur if timing is not correct.

1998 chevy K1500 timing runs ok for 10 miles then loses all pwr

1-timing on truck is ajusted by ecm, when u moved it u cause cam sensor code because it detected timing was off! 2-o2 sensors has the role of detecting air to fuel ratio coming out of exhaust, sends signal to ecm wich collects data from other sensors from that sets timing for best performance,if ecm detects something wrong in system data it will give engine code, that code will point at problem area,in your case o2 sensors probably detected lean fuel ratio that points to fuel system, blocked fuel filter or fuel pump faillure, elect, circuit damage, hope it helped!

Car skips and sputters and dies

I would check your o2 sensor. Take it yo your local parts store, usually they will hook up and read off your codes for free telling you the sensor that is bad.
