No heat or cold air will come out of my 2004 Mitsubishi Galant. No air at all will come out of any of the vents. No hot air, and definitely no cold air. I can hear each of the vents opening and closing as I turn the vent control knob but no air will come out of any of them. I checked both fuses in the dash on the left side of the steering wheel and in the engine compartment. Then I took off the dash panel behind the glove box to get to the Blend Door Motor, but after turning the air from hot to cold at various speeds, the motor appears to be working. What should I look at next? The control panel seems to be working since I can either see or hear the effects of me turning each of the three knobs.

I have also tested the blower motor with a 12v battery and the fan moves freely.

Check the brushes on the blower motor that circulates the air in the car.

SOURCE: Interior lights on climate clontrol knobs don't work

After showing the dealership this site and the problems that others have had. I insisted that they take a look at it and solve the problem. FINALLY, they admitted that there are lights and that basically it is a pain to fix because they need to order a new module. After one day in the shop, I now have lights for the climate controls in my 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. Do not let them tell you that it only is an option with the Limited. It is just flat out FALSE. I was so frustrated with my dealership because this is shady if you ask me, but they did fix it free of charge. Do your research, call JEEP themselves, and provide the dealership with facts and they should fix it. It's ridiculous how much work I had to do to get them to admit that the Laredo also had the option, but it failed. Don't back down!!!!!!!

SOURCE: broken handle to glove box in my Galant

This happened in my '01 galant as well. If you take a peek under where the handle used to be, there's a little square nook with a spring and a little plastic tab. take a key and stick it right above the tab and press down, and the glove compartment should just pop right open. If it doesn't work, then it's probably just locked. Just unlock the door and try it again.

Mitsubishi Galant 2ltr overdrive works when cold gradually fails as engine heats up

run fault codes as this sounds like a solenoid/ servo problem that worsens when hot.

Cold air coming from passager glove compartment making the front ducts blow out warm not hot

There could be cold air coming in because the air vent is not closing properly when it is suppose to close.

My 2004 mitsubishi galant isnt blowing cold or hot air.

If it has a cabin air filter the filter could be blocked.
It could also have a stuck or faulty blend door that directs air flow thru the HVAC box.

2009 galant, added coolant.. still blowing hot air

Hi, there are several reasons your vehicle may be blowing hot air through the vents, such as a need to recharge refrigerant. There could also be a problem with the air conditioner's compressor. Vents will blow hot air if the compressor does not activate when the A/C is turned on. There may be an obstruction in the system, or the blend air door inside the HVAC unit may be stuck in the HEAT position so no air goes through the A/C evaporator.

I have a 04 galant. The heater won't blow hot air. Went to a repair shop and they said it was temperature control (the control knobs in the car). Replaced that and it still doesn't work. What else can it...

It does blow correct? Just not hot air? This shop replaced the control head (the unit that the knobs are connected to)? I'm assuming the answer to all is yes. There may be a jam. Not too common but I've seen it a couple times. There are doors within the air box under your dash where your blower motor and heater core are. The control head controls these doors, opening one vent door to outside air and/or to the evaporator, closing the other vent door to the heater core or vise versa. It also controls the doors which direct air to certain ducts that will blow out the selected vents. If something has been droped down through a vent and worked its way to these doors I'm talking about, it could jam the door closed that goes to the heater core, preventing heat from blowing through the ducts.

Does the air blows through the dash board vents. Does the selector is functional, that means you can force the air stream through wind shield, or vents or down to the legs. If these things are OKthen check CONTROL PANEL.
Remove the trim plate surrounding the center instrument panel. Detach the electrical connectors and remove the control panel.
