There is a recall on the cruise control of your vehicle. Go here and enter the VIN# off your truck and it will tell you if you need the recall or if it has already been done. http://www.fordf150.net/ford_news/ford-f150-bronco-cruise-control-recall.php If your truck does not need the recall or it has already been done then there is a fused jumper on the unit and the fused link may have blown. Look at the photo on the above link to see the what the fused link looks like. Also check the Speed Control Deactivation Switch, (the plug coming out of the brake master cylinder going to the servo). If it is leaking brake fluid it is bad.

No it would not be a fuse, the cruise is not fused directly.

probally a fuse has blown. Check fuse box under steering wheel by pedals and the fuse box under the hood. should be on drv sd inner fender

I need a fuse schematic for my 1997 ford f150 pickup, my truck won't start and I think it might be a fuse and don't know where they are or which one to check

The fuse layout is in the owners manual.
If you did not get an owners manual with your truck ( purchased used ), you can download one from Ford :
