It takes a special tool, about $38.00 at NAPA. Very easy to get to
the pump, 6 small bolts, it is on the "BACK side" of the motor,
opposite end of the main pulleys and belts. Drivers side. the watre
pump is driven by a small belt coming off the front cam shaft. easiest
water pump I was able to reach , but it takes a special six fingered
tool to grab the six lugs, and i belive it is a counter colockwise turn
about a 1/8 of a turn, and the pump just falls out.
the outer housing of the pump (pump cover) has a special
neoprene gasket, which i reused. It was going to be a specail order
part, this gasket did not come with the pump. this housing also has the
thermostat in it, which has two seprate bolts and a seperate gasket for
the thermostat inlet.
yours is only one of many problems after installing the hid kit! There is nothing we can do for you here except tell you to remove them or contact the manufacturer
whens the last time you changed the fuel filter? ther maybe to much water in the filter and the tank, on warmer days the fuel maybe trying to seprate in the filter, when you go to start it you maybe trying to run it on water more then diesel. add a cetien booster to the tank of fuel you have see if that helps
sounds like seprate issues check for fuel pressure, and spark. the code refers to a poss bad o2 sensor wich would be a seprate issue since o2sensors typically wont keep it from starting, just use alot of gas. good luck
