Sounds like you have a leaking cylinder head gasket, have a shop run further diagnostics.

The head bolts can be the major problem in overheating of an engine ,so before the toques of engine make sure the bolts are not stretched and the threadings are cleaned thats what ive discovered on my toyota 3l engine

head bolt toque specs are 40-47 ft-lbs

hey, torque must be done in 3 steps:
1st 22 ft lbs
2nd 43 ft lbs
final 47 ft lbs
use this sequence of tightening:

9 - 3 -1 -6 -8
7 - 5 - 2 -4 - 10
