The easy way to tell is when you turn the key to start the vehicle the vehicle goes through a bulb check. If there is a light that says anti lock on the instrument cluster, you have ABS brakes.Hope this helps.Good luck.

The 1995 Buick Lesabre Limited should have ABS brakes as indicated by the ABS light that goes on when the car's ignition is on, but the car hasn't started yet.

If the vehicle does not have this light visibile, it may not have the ABS brakes on it.

I remember there were vehicles in the early 1990s that had the ABS brake option standard, so it would seem to me that the 1995 vehicle would have it on it.

1998 buick lesabre limited edition brake line diagram

As far as I know there isn't one and I've never seen one in all the repairs I've made on these cars. You have to just visually follow the actual metal brake lines from the wheels to the ABS controller and back to the master. Odds are unless you have an actual fluid leak in one of these lines that you have a different issue if you are having a brake problem.

2001 Buick Lesabre ABS light stays on even resetting the system. brakes are good and responding just the light coming on and off.

What this means is that the abs module is seeing a problem in the abs system. This has nothing to do with the regular brakes. What you need to do is get the codes from the abs module and this will help in finding what could be causing the light to come on.When the abs light comes on the regular brakes will work normally but your abs brakes will be disabled.Let me know what codes you find and I can help or explain what the cause could be.Good luck.

It's not cheap.... i'd suggest that they bleed the air from the brake system first... does the abs chatter or is the light on ?

1995 LeSabre ABS light

the anti-lock brake system is part and parcel of the traction control system. the abs has a $750.00 valve located in the engine bay on the right side (as you face the car from the front) the driver's side just behind the headlight. i had a mechanic who took it upon himself to remove, dismantle and clean and reassemble the unit, all to no avail but also without expense. the cost of the part was prohibitive since Blue Book on this car is just about $700.00. it will run and brake just fine without the abs or the traction control system either.

Abs brakes

does all break grab?? if so, the break master cyclinder need attention. if only one break grab then one of the break cyclinder need attention. the cyclinder is not backing off when the break is released.
do not keep driving the car if you don't fix the break. the car will lock up and going to cost you more.
