I have a 2003 ford Explorer with a dual air system. when the ac is on my two driver side ac vents are not as cold as the passenger vents. would this be a fuse or vacuum line and if it is a fuse which one would it be? thanks for the help.

You have a dual range HVAC system. It has two blend doors in the HVAC box, and only the blend door for the driver's side is working properly. You will have to troubleshoot, and possibly replace the blend door actuator for the passenger side.

Sounsds like the HVAC is dual system, and the door motors have failed, try swapping the door motors with the door motors that work on the passenger side.
If they work, the control head may be the issue, try and test the output of the control head, see if there is a signal to the motors, getting a wiring schematic will help in this matter.

if the system has dual controls you might want to check the setting of the rear control.

It sounds like the control motor switching from hot to cold is stuck halfway in between the two temp settings. You will have to take it down and replace it, it is mounted under dash passenger side near the blower motor.

sounds like a cracked vacuum line... or a bad vacuum control box getting the settings confused check there first.. (hot air from outside is being forced in on the one side because one vent is open, cold on other then when on normal when both outside vents should be open 2 arent and one is)

This is a common problem when the AC system has a low charge.
If this is the case, you have a leak somewhere. Do not try to fix it yourself without the proper equipment.

I just took the dash board apart and found the the control arm is broke on the drivers side.
just pull the face plate off on the middle console easy......
unplug the radio and you will see the arm on the left side of the box.
