I hope this diagram is correct? At the relay, the relay has two sides, the load side carries voltage to the pump, that is the line that looks like it switches between D and E. The control side of relay is on the right, that side needs voltage and ground. The voltage comes from ecm, usually a green wire with white tracer. Did you check for voltage on that wire, engine cranking? Even though the fuel pump gets voltage through the oil pressure switch, does the vehicle start and run? If more than one problem, I'd have to check rpm signal and where applicable, security system.
I was just curious, engine cranking, you have spark at the plugs and fuel injector pulse?

Maybe a problem with the theft deterrant system. My Tahoe had a similar intermittant problem and the dealer said there was a fault in the theft system and it would shut off the fuel pump.

SOURCE: 1996 2-door Chevy Tahoe won't start.

On the driverside of the engine towards the back of the intake your fuel lines run there. you will see a black cap that covers the fuel pressure test port. you will need to get a pressure tester if you do not have one. it will screw onto the fitting there. your pressure should be 40 to 60 psi. as for the fuel pump it is located in the fuel tank. it is the fuel module. it contains the fuel pump and sending unit. I hope this helps.

SOURCE: injector pulse stops after warm up

Most temperature sensor decrease in resistance as temperature goes up. As resistance decrease, current increases while the voltage remain constant, which is usually 5 volts. What you can do is unplug the temperature sensor, that should keep the car from dying for diagnostic purpose only.Look for a plug that is similar to the temperature sensor. Sometimes, a wire terminals is not plugged in where they should be. You know the the temperature sensor is working because the computer responded by turning the engine off. Only that it is connected to the wrong input of the computer thats why it does that. To sum it up look for similar looking wires terminals they maybe crossed. Look for sign where a wiring had been repaired. they may have been connected to the wrong place. Hope this helps.

91 plymouth sundance died, oil on ground, check engine on

If you feel like the engine is still ok, I would look at the oil pressure and check engine light issues.
On engines with fuel injection, the fuel pump is powered by the pump relay until the engine starts. Then the engine has to have oil pressure to keep the fuel pump powered.
Its a safety feature so if you are in a wreck the fuel pump does not keep running if the engine is off.
I would want to know why the oil pressure light is staying on and what the trouble codes are in the computer.

I have a 87 Chevy suburban and I do not have full power to the fuelpump its got full power at the fuse its like it looses power from under the Hood to the pump what can I do to get power back

There should be a fuel pump relay. Maybe its losing power in the relay. Also part of the fuel pump circuit is the oil pressure switch. The ECM will send a ground to the relay to prime the pump and give fuel while cranking. When the oil pressure is up then the oil pressure sender/switch will energize the pump. If a relay was bad, most times extended cranking until oil pressure registers will turn the pump on and the vehicle will start.

May also check the pump ground. Might be on the frame near the tank.

1988 chevy celebrity No fuel to the carberator.

without starting the engine position the key to the on position.
you can hear the fuel pump operationing for 4 to 6 seconds upon having the key on.
if not heard running check the fuel pump fuse, the fuel pump relay, and the engines oil pressure switch.
they all work the pump you see
the engine oil pressure switch runs the pump untill the engine reaches normal pressure
once the pressure is reached to the normal range the computer shuts that circuit off and turns the fuel pump relay on

I have a 91 s-10 that wont run...fuel pump runs and I am getting fuel to the carb all brand new plugs and wires and ignition coil and module and new cap and rotor? fires up and dies out?

The fuel pump relay is at fault. The engine will start running off the oil pressure sensor for the 3rd wire connected to the sensor feeds power to the fuel pump which makes your truck start right up. When the engine achomplish the standard oil pressure as needed the sensor shuts power off by the PCM default system and turns on the fuel pump relay to continue working the fuel pump. replace the relay and you will be driving around again

My corvette doesnt want to start because theres no power going to the fuel pump fuse.

I am looking at alldata , the schematics for the fuel system. I see a fuse in the fuse block(10 amp) that comes from the fuel pump relay to the pump. I see a fuseable link (link H)that goes through a oil pressure sending unit. I would get a test light and test the oil pressure sending unit, the inline fuseable link and the relay. If still no power check the connection at the pump and then work backwards testing the harness.

1987 chevy r10 won't start

Assuming it is a fuel problem I checked at the carb. to be sure no gas was being pumped through the filter located under the power steering pump then the fuse on my 87 s10 was the ECM fuse.then check for the relay to click and the had to replace the oil pressure sending unit and mine started right up..the oil pressure must be about 4 lbs for the Pump tp operate...I loosened the fuel line to ck. for fuel but thats living dangerously...a pressure guage would be on the safe side......
