SOURCE: The rearview mirror on my 1995 Eurovan fell off
Not familiar with the Eurovan, but in general there are two ways they are held on. 1) a small set screw, Hex drive or 2) how do I describe it... a spring that wedges against the button...
set screw is obvious, unsrew it.
spring you have to insert something of the correct size in the hole and then remove the button... first time I did one of these I just used excessive force and got it out... kinda bent things up a bit....
Peace,

It usually takes a very small allen wrench to loosen the small set screw.

First off hate anything with VW Sry!! been in this business over 25yrs. never could understand the extent germans go through to design a vehicle. NO things are read through devices like BCM PCM and software are configured to such options in the vehicle... to confirm this call VW and verify

SKF bearings is my first choice and any bearing stockist will get you one one you take the old one off and they measure it --width --inner shaft size --outer casing size
