My ford taurus 01 is leaking coolant. I already replaced the water pump, and still leaking. How can I find where the leak is at? I need the repair manual. I was told it has 3 water seals besides the water pump.

Go to your local auto parts store and rent a coolant pressure tester, it's a hand pump with a radiator cap on the end, so you simply install it instead of the radiator cap, pump it up to about 10psi and visually look for the leak, should be easy to find. If that fails you could also try a dye test, ask about it at the auto parts store for more information.

Coolant and oil leak

have a compression test done as the bubbles suggest a blown head gasket or cracks. That will account for the overheating. The oil leak may be from the head gasket or cracks.

Coolant leak from underneath

if you have a coolant or antifreeze mixed with the water, you should see a trace of the coolant on the motor, where it is leaking. check water hose clamps and water pump. if the water pump is leaking slowly, it has failed and will break within time. any coolant leak will cause your car engine to overheat.

I have a 2002 ford taurus and antifreeze is leaking cant tell from where but it is getting all over my belt and causing smoke could this be a simple hose or a water pump im at a loss

Hello! It sounds like the water pump is leaking...But first, inspect your hoses and their clamping points...
if you can observe coolant leaking, running from the center of the rear of the water pump then it's time to replace it see diagram below for bolt torquing sequence...Bolts1-7=18 Ft. Lbs....Bolts 8-12= 89 In. Lbs.

Leak under car on driver side maybe waterpump

If the fluid is a bright green or yellow colour, it is coolant fluid. Check the water pump, there should be a seal leak drain hole under it, look for signs of a leak. If there is a green/yellow track leading from below the water pump. you need to have the water pump replaced. A leak from the engine would be dark brown to black an a transmission leak would be red tp very dark red. Coolant would tend to dry up while oils spills do not. The water pump is located on the side of the engine where the belts are. I do not know if your car is left or right hand drive.
