2004 Toyota Corolla Logo
Posted on Aug 13, 2010

I have a 2004 Toyota corolla. The back light on the clock fades out for no apparent reason. It maintains the correct time. Is there a bulb that needs to be replaced or how can it be fixed?

Hi , i have toyota corola 2006 model I have problem with dash bord clock light - bulb not working kindly advice what cani do thanks .. amer f

The fuse in postion 32 (15 Amp) in the box under the dash by the steering wheel also powers your cigarette lighter and radio also powers the clock. If only the clock is dead then it is not a fuse issue. This is a very common problem with the 96-05 Corolla clocks. The clocks are very prone to internal failure. Clock out on 2004 toyota corolla

There is a defect in the clock itself and is common to many Japanese auto makes. The good news is that it can be repaired at a reasonable price at www.subaru-clock.com.

All you have to do is remove the clock and follow the directions posted on the website.

You can find helpful removal instructions for the Corolla at http://www.pro-fit-intl.com/Adobe/MV-50-03-L-p15.pdf.

Toyota crolla time clock not working

Check to make sure that the 15 amp TAIL fuse, the 15 amp DOME fuse and the 15 amp CIG fuse are all good. If you have taillamps that light, a dome light that lights, and the cigar lighter works, you need to replace the clock.
