Had the same issue with our 1999 chevy astro van, would crank but would not start. It had been raining and windshield had a leak, after 2 days of no rain it started. Pulled codes and was the Security system in the ignition switch. Hope this helps.
Did you check the fuel pump fuse? It's often all by itself, and not in the fusebox. This is the case on Chevy/GMC C/K trucks, it might be similar on the Astro van.
baterr ywas dead changed it-new battery worked-discharged once air turned on-put in 2nd bateer yseems fimne as long as you don't turn on the air-if you do there is a clicking inside radioconsole and discharges battery
I hope that you have disconnected the battery fire could happen relay click's but will stick at drain could be the fuel pump you hear with the continuse click you might have a shorted starter.I think thats the first place to start.A bad ignition switch will cause this to happen sometimes?
