Air conditioner blowing warm air in saturn ion

You need to fix the coolant leak, then refill and bleed cooling system, then you will get heat and cure overheating problem too

under the dash center of vehicle on the drivers side of the heater case.

There is a relay in the power block under the hood. Try to switch it out with the one for the horn. This is a easy test to see if your relay is bad. Both the relays are the same, so you will not short out anything.

I would make sure the shut off valve between the cold air and warm air is engaging. this is controlled by a vacume

You likely need to charge the AC with freon. If it has been a year or three since you've had it checked, it is probably low on freon and needing to have some added.

most likely because your heater core is plugged up. this is a repair beyond owner maintenance level.
find a shop which does radiator and A/C work and have them replace it

I worked at saturn dealer for 18yrs.Those auto hvac heads are a weak link on the L-Series.But I have to say the BCM's are totally junk!! But if it was me I would go with the BCM because you can get a used HVAC head from junk yard but the BCM has to be new because it has to be flashed.If It was me I would try to get a used hvac control from salvage yard.Also yo might want to get a 2nd opinion because those L-Series cars are all bad for Compressor concerns.Hope this helps
