The most likely cause is the dual control valve in the cooling system and/or the wiring to it. you can change the settings back to the origional settings using the touch screen or the dash switches . @ your model/year there was a factory fix which was about changing the servo motors on the climate control unit for that problem.you may need to take to a jag dealer. but first make sure the outside temp is reading ok on the dispay that can also cause that prob if its gone faulty
hold ambient button and temp down button at the sametime till it resets

Hi jrm the smoke under the wing is the fuel fired heater and is normal. the noise is the heater motors for the heater flaps, there is a jag fix but you have to replace all the motors just ignore it. Try changeing the filter for the heater under the left side scuttle panel thats below the black plastic panel below the screen that will help the steaming up D

seems like your air con relay has gone bad. that what happened to my ford xr6. you need to take to car to air con technicians, since it is not user serviceable.

i have the same problem i have checked the wiring to the dual control valve (behind rad left hand side)and this appears ok, they do have a lot of problems with this valve i am about to take it off and check it out but it is not easy to get at will keep you posted
