My car radio says locked I know the code how do I unlock the radio

The purpose of the lock is to prevent unauthorized users (thieves) from enjoying the radio. To unlock it without the key you'll need to prove ownership to the manufacturer/dealer for the radio.

the radio is locked.phone a gm dealer and ask them to unlock your radio.they will instruck you on how to get a 3 digit code out of the radio.then they have to phone it in and they will give you the 4 digit unlock code and tell you how to input it.then it will work again.the radio gets locked when the battery goes dead or gets disconnected.

If the code is not at the back of your manual, try 0000 and if the radio locked it self from taking any more codes. Just disconnect the battery and that will reset the radio so you can re-enter the code. If 0000 did not work then log on to Radio-code.com, you can get your cod there for like $12.00 which is cheaper then the dealer and you get to know the codes as most dealer will just unlock the radio. If you are refering to the Theft Lock code, you must first push the right sequence of radio buttons to enter the un lock mode in the radio's computer. Once the radio's Theft Lock Identifier code is displayed, you then enter the un lock code into the radio. Ususally, this is a dealer operation as they have the online program to retrieve the unlock code after they submit your Theft Lock ID code. I'm wondering how you were able to get a unlock code without the dealer's assistance.

Sorry, only the dealer can clear the code in your radio if you don't know it. This is an anti-theft feature. If the code were out there radios would stolen!

As far as I know there is no code on a Nissan factory radio. Check the fuses for the radio.

you will have to go to the dealer to get it unlocked, they must call gm's radio division for unlock code
