It should , wether it still does or not after 26 years might be worth a look .. It will be in the exhaust system about 12-20 inches from the engine down pipe .

There is no valve adjustment on that engine. Your rocker arms are on a single shaft that us bolted to the head. The lifters are hydraulic and will take up any normal slack unless there is damage to the cam, lifter, push rod or rocker.

I would check your fusible links. The wires that they are on are what power everything in your cab. Usually they're attached to the starter, the starter solenoid, or the positive battery terminal. Hope this helps!
