you have to remove the tranny the clutch and pressure plate are located on the engine and the throw out bearing and arm are on the tranny make sure you replace it all
The easiest possible is to have a professional mechanic do it. It involves removing either the engine or the transaxle assembly from the car to get at the clutch, and that is not a job for an amateur.
The thing with the teeth you are referring to is your flywheel. That is what your clutch engages with to transfer power from engine to transmission. Your clutch is the disc & spring assy, and yes it could be on it's way out by sound of it. How much free play do you have at clutch pedal?
Try checking the engine/transmission mounts, one of them may not have been reinstalled properly, or worn out, causing a vibration. If the car is able to move with the new clutch, and it seems to work, I wouldn't say the clutch was put in wrong. Also check the wires around the engine/transmission, you may have knocked something loose as well.
