I have 190,000 miles on my 2003 Kia Spectra. I have consistently used Wal-mart's 10W-40 Super Tech (house brand) motor oil. I have never had to replace any motor parts and it still has excellent compression, runs like a top, and hasn't even had a spark plug
or plug wire replaced on the car. It still gets 30 MPG highway. The IMPORTANT thing is to CONSISTENTLY change oil every 3,000 to 4,000 miles.

Just replaced high pressure oil pump still smokes bad fills like a cylinder is kind of missing too

is the smoke kind of white and when you check the oil does it look like milk or when you take the oil filler cap off can you see anything wrong with the way the oil looks kind of white creamy? if so you have a head gasket gone and you should change it

Use any popular brand of oil that you trust to be good. Use only (sae 10w-30 oil) in the spring and summer months. And use (sae 5w-30 oil) in the winter months. Change the oil and filter every 3,000 miles to prevent engine problems.Hope this will help you.

Your dodge should use a 5w-30sae oil.I prefer to use a semi synthetic oil it mixes with conventional oil and provides better break down resistance.

U add it to the fuell line on the engines dipstick under the hood, use 10W30W oil, any major brand.

What kind of oil do I need to use?

Volvo recommends Castrol 5W-30. Your message is probably the result of bad oil pickup seals though, especially if the oil level is proper on the dipstick.

Oil is 10-30 and the type of oil filter is up to you, you can go cheap or you can go expensive it is all up to you what you want to run in your car.
