Re: My engine light is on and the machine gives a code...
P1751= auto transmission control relay malfunction.according to mitsubishi it's 1 of 3 things.pretty straightforward.either the relay is bad, loose connector,or failed pcm (powertrain control module.
This can also be due to a leaking heater core. The relay and pcm can get wet from the leaking fluid. My car registers the same code. There are Technical Service Bulletins on these and many other issues that this car may have. They are available online for about $30 for a 1 year subscription. This can also be due to a leaking heater core. The relay and pcm can get wet from the leaking fluid. My car registers the same code. JUST A QUESTION BEFORE GIVING THE ADVICE. SINCE YOU HAVE THE FAULT HAVE YOU CLEARED THE CODE BY MEANS OF SCANNER AND THE LIGHT RETURNED? CODE PO155 IS FOR OXYGEN SENSOR BANK2 -SENSOR 1 AND IS LOCATED BY THE RADIATOR SIDE OF THE ENGINE UPPER SENSOR. GOOD LUCK.
Could be a number of things...rusty filler neck, or a bad "vent solenoid." These are more common. The evap system closes once you are driving it to send fuel vapors to a charcoal canister, and if it can't due to a leak, your check engine light will go on.
Sounds like a steering wheel sensor. Call Mitsubishi back and tell them that, or try a different dealer. Sensor detects the angle of the steering wheel when determining ABS operation parameters (I think)...
