Here's a trick I learned from a local body shop where I live.
Get a sawzall and cut the post that the latch hooks to.

This will open the door for you. Then repair whatever is required in the door, and replace the post on the inside of the body is cheaper than damaging anything else in the door.

Good luck on this repair.

Schlematics 2005 nissan sentra middle console

Hi,

you might have to remove the portions on either side of the console before you remove the middle portion. Please open the glove compartment and look for any screws that you can unscrew with a screw driver and open up. This opening should give you more access to the side of the middle console and there should me more visibility into other screws, latches etc that be undone in order to remove the middle console. Otherwise, please work with a mobile mechanic to achieve this goal.

Thank you.

Drivers door wont open

If it were me , I'd remove the inside door panel and take it from there. It may be that you can pry open the lock mechanism with a screw driver or a similar tool, allowing you to open the door - which obviously you must do. Even that, though, will not solve the cause of your problem. You may wind up at the dealer.

How do you replace the driver side door latch on a 2000 nissan sentra, cant see how it is installed and get hands in there. is there a certain way of doing this?

When you say door latch, what exactly are you referring to? There is the locking latch, inner and outer opening latch, or the door jam latch? Take the door panel off, make sure that the window is up, and then you will have access to any of the latches. The door jam lock/opening latch will have some screws in it, 3 total, you can take those out and off for better access to the actual door lock mechanisms.

The entire lock kit is falling out on driver side Murano. The remote unlocks all but the driver door at times. Other times the door will not open and I am forced to use the key to manually unlock my driver...

Open drivers door, locate plastic plug on inside of door, near latch, across from door lock cylinder. Pop it out. There is a set screw that retains lock cylinder. Tighten set screw.
