Po341 according to my manual is CMP circuit performance

I do not understand why you think this has anything to do with the power steering sensor.

Do 2008 Pontiac torrent GXP have power steering pump

It could or could have electric power sterring , look up under the dash below the steering wheel an see if it has a electric motor on the steering column .
Power Steering System Description and Operation (with EPS)
The Electric Power Steering (EPS) system reduces the amount of effort needed to steer the vehicle. The system uses the power steering control module (PSCM), torque sensor, power steering motor rotational sensor, power steering motor, discrete battery voltage supply circuit, and the GMLAN serial data circuit to perform the system functions. The PSCM and power steering motor are each serviced separately from the steering column assembly. However, the motor rotational sensor is serviced as part of the power steering motor, and the torque sensor is serviced as part of the steering column assembly. The PSCM also monitors vehicle speed from the engine control module (ECM) via the GMLAN serial data circuit. At low speeds more assist is provided for easy turning during parking maneuvers. At higher speeds less assist is provided for improved road feel and directional stability.

Remove the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement . Disconnect the camshaft position (CMP) sensor electrical connector. Remove the CMP sensor bolt. Remove the CMP sensor. Inspect the sensor O-ring for wear, cracks, or leakage if the sensor is not being replaced.

Hi, how l fix the code on my vw golf 96 the code is po341 ?

the code po341 is camshaft position sensor is faulty, you will need to replace the sensor locate behind cam gear. I would pick up Haynes auto repair book for 20 bucks, it will give you instruction on camshaft tear down and it has pictures, great tools to have if you planing to do your own work, its not easy tasks and on top of that its time consuming. the part will cost ya 47 bucks.

Getting the following codes from a 1997 Pontiac Grand Am....... PO121 TPS / Pedal Position Sensor A CKT Range / Perf Also, PO341 Camshaft Position Sensor A - Bank 1 CKT Range/Perf. Any thoughts on the

po121 means that there is a problem with the throttle position sensor ( tps). or in the wiring or connector, most likely its the tps that is bad. first remove connection from tps, heres how to test. use an ohms meter and hook a lead to top or bottom terminal of tps. use other probe on center terminal of tps. move throttle plate slowly, if the needle on meter does not move at a smooth pace, then tps is bad. good-luck!!

99 mercedes e320.check engine light on.po341

that appears to be a camshaft position sensor performance code. you can start by checking to see if the sensor is working properly, re-check and make sure that the harness is ok by checking the resistance through the harness if all looks well there make sure the computer has the latest software on it by having it scanned at your local dealer. also you can check the reluctor wheel on the camshaft for damage or debris in the way of the sensor.

hope this helps!

Service engine soon light on. failed aircare.showing code po341 .

The service engine light DOES NOT mean change your oil. The change oil or maintence required light means change oil. The service engine light is the same as a check engine light and means that there is something (not always really bad) is going on with your motor and need someone that has a code reader to let you know what the code is. Yes that code is a camshaft position sensor code. It is located on the passenger side of the engine in the "valley" between the two cyclinder heads. Its not too hard as long as you have some tools and some skills. Its easiest to remove the serpentine belt and remove the bolts for the power steering pump. That way you can move the pump a little to gain better access to remove the cam sensor. Just replaced one yesterday on a 99 century. Hope that helps!
