I have a 2000 toyota camry, the signal lights and hazard lights don't work. i had the fuses checked but the person had some type of instrument and says the fuses are okay. He thinks it might be a Flash? I can't find my manual and he doesn't know how to find where its located. Where is it located and is this costly

Hello blessedmom
The flasher is at the top of the checklist for this problem. You're flasher
is located behind the left side kick panel. It's been a while since I
bought one, but a flasher replacement should be under 25.00
Hope this helps.

TURN SIGNALS AND HAZARD LIGHTS DO NOT WORK ON 2006 Camry. fuse is good, battery and Alternator were just replaced.

it could be a bad signal switch having an open in it. this can affect both signal and hazards.

Turn signals and hazard flasher stopped working in my 2000 Toyota Sienna. Checked fuses and both are good. Is the relay the only other likely problem? Thanks!

Yes, you are on the right track. More than likely it is a defective flasher relay as one relay controls turn signal and hazard flash. The flasher relay is located behind the left side of the instrument panel.

Indicator lights not working so as the hazard lights, it use to work sometimes but now they are not working at all.

Check turn signal fuse, located under a cover at the left end of the bottom of the dashboard. The signal/hazard flasher is located there as well.If fuse is blown, suspect a shorted wire, often at the tail light wiring in the trunk.

2000 Toyota Camry Panel Lights not working

are all your instrument panel lights dim? i know this sounds silly but i had a person the other day who had the dimmer switch turned down. if it's not that there is a fuse for the instrument panel, looks like it should be a 7.5 amp fuse in the passenger compartment fuse box. it's very unlikely that all of those lamps would fail at the same time. hope that helps.

2000 toyota camry turn signals not working. Fuses check out and bulbs good.

Hi, i recommend testing the switch and flasher module. i will post the testing procedures for both devices. replace the device that is faulty.

To test turn signal switches, use a 12-volt test light to probe for voltage into and out of the switch. The ignition switch must be in the RUN position for the circuit to operate. If voltage is present on the input side of the switch but not on the output side, the switch is faulty.

FLASHER TEST PROCEDURE---
  • A test light can be used to determine which flasher is used for the turn signals and which is used for the hazard warning light.
  • An easier way is to turn on both the directionals and the hazards. This activates both flasher units.
  • By removing one of the flashers, the affected circuit no longer flashes.
  • Therefore, that flash unit controls that particular circuit.
  • If the turn signals fail to operate and the fuse is good, the flasher has probably failed.
  • Occasionally, the flasher does not flash as fast as it once did, or it flashes faster. This is also cause for replacement.
  • If it flashes too slowly or not at all, check for a burned-out bulb first.
the flasher is located in the Front seating area, driver side, driver side of steering column, mounted in corner behind instrument panel

If the turn signals operate properly in one direction but do not flash in the other, the problem is not in the flasher unit. A burned-out lamp filament will not cause enough current to flow to heat the bimetallic strip sufficiently to cause it to open. Thus the lights do not flash. Locate the faulty bulb and replace it.

if the Hazard does not work as well i would start there and then move on to the flasher relay under the steering column
