1997 Dodge Stratus- When headlights on other dash lights go off.

check on your dash board it might be short, or dirt, or lost contact,try also check circuit board of relay control,it might also has components abnormal function,check supply voltage of relay circuit board,may be their is cold solder or lost contact, thanks,and try may hope can solve your problem.

Check your fuses first, or could be a burnt resistor on the gauges circuit board.

I would say its probably a short or a ground problem at the turn switch or a wire in that area. you need a test light and probably a multi meater and some nohow a ground or wireing problem can even drive a master teck crasy.

These lights for the dash are controlled by a rheostat instrument control dimmer switch next to the main light switch for the headlights, it is either turned off (have seen this dozens of times) or it is defective. Below is a picture of the switch assembly I speak of. The thumb wheel next to the knob is the dimmer control.

It is probably not a bulb if none of the dash lights are not working. There is more than one bulb. It is probably the the headlight switch or the roller switch that dims the lights.

Check your owners manual. There must be a way to dim the dash lights. Should be a dial or a knob somewhere.

Cirrus,Stratus and Breeze,
all had trouble with there printed circuit dashes,Did you notice if you lost the odometer and tach,or odometer and speedometer first,and then it got progressively worst.Or every thing worked one day and nothing while you were driving.

I know your fuses look good but try replacing the fuse with a new one.
