1993 crown victoria drives said window wont roll and it not the motor please tell me what i can do

if it is electric window check fuse box or the window motor or the connections or switch

I am sorry to ask what may seem a foolish question, but have you checked the child lock out?

Take it to the dealer, there is nothing you can do.

Linkage is suspected. Does the selector go into gear? Something could be blocking it physically, how long since the filter was changed.

if it sounds kind of grinding the regulator is bad, it is cable driven and
whenit goes bad the window wont move but the motor still runs

If you take the motor off, you will see a metal cover behind the gear, inside that cover is some plastic gears that have rubber insulators. Most likely those insulators are broken up and when you put a load on the motor such as working the window, the insulators allow the two gears to disengage. Look on ebay for ford window motor repair kit.

With the description of this concern it looks like the switch is your fault instead of the window motor or regulator. If you here bad noises coming from inside the door then its no the switch and one of the above components.

The window may be off track. Remove the door panel (careful not to break the plastic clips) and attempt to roll the window back up. It it still does not move, you may have a blown window motor for that door. You will be able to lift the window to the closed position if weather is a factor until you get the new motor.

After removing your door panel you should look for rivets holding your glass or motor if equipped with power widows.The window slides down but you may have to pull the window molding aside for easy installation.
