Starter Problem & Temp. control

IN the past year I have had the Starter replaced 4 times, The dealer claims
there is no other problem, Could my problem be the fuse has not been checked
or the starter celonid is the problem? the car over heats but service centers claim it's within the proper range. To reduce the temp. we must drive around with the heat on?
The battery is around 2 Years old. The head was remilled 2 years ago
along with the fan motors left and right.

What do you mean starter coil ?

If your asking about COP Ignition Coils,
you can buy them on Rock Auto.Com for
$59.00 each & replace yourself or have a
family member or neighbor do so

You completely need to educate yourself &
not be at a dealer for any reason

Replace all the ignition coils & buy the
Wells brand

COP Coils fail on all vehicles at about
6 to seven years, they are all shot, so yes to
your question,do them all & for only one
screw to remove, you got screwed royally
at the dealer.

Why would you be at a dealer?
Why did the exhaust converter fail in
under 12 to 14 years
You know that issue has to be solved long before
a new cat goes on
You need to look at cylinder misfire counts
Fuel Trim
Engine Temp
Cat Temp
& all data
I wouldn't expect a dealer to do what you ask
or tell you a thing, if you asked
Start over at a local shop & be there from time to time
Don't tell them how to do their job, but be proactive.

Intermittently my 2009 kia optima will not start

I'm pretty sure that the charging system was checked by now & they should have checked it for an electrical short & the ignition system should have been checked. It may be an electrical short in the ignition system, bad/ erratic starter or relay. I advise u to get in touch w the dealer & inform them the problem is still happening & see what they have to say, or get a auto tech to check it & get a warrantee w the work. The dealer should be standing behind their work already. Good Luck. CALL BACK THAT DEALER, U PAID THEM TO FIX THIS PROBLEM ALREADY. Ive dealt w consumers for 21 years & auto repair.

yes its often that dealers will advise that if car starter installed there is no gurentee as well the car if its finish with the gurentee the tech line advises the mechanics to remove any after market devices installed to repair the original system but most of the time the starter is not the problem but it eliminates it sometimes the car starter has extra features that cause problems in the startingcircuit for example when the car starter installed the main wire is put it between the starter and ignition so if the wire is cut to far this causes a lost between the ignition switch and the starter or the module can be damaged and the same thing apears and so on

Engine light keeps coming on

The P-0440, P-0441 and P-0446 indicates that you have a leak in the "fume" side of the system. Normally, seeing a 440-441-446 is a loose or defective fuel cap. One would NOT change the evap VSV for a 440-441-446 set of codes. At this point, I agree with you regarding the trust issue. Regarding the caisiter, I cannot speculate yes or no, without further info/codes/etc from your dealer, but, I have replaced several over the past few years; this "could" be true....

Some times it starts up just find ,the next time it don't want to

hello,
This could be a few things.
First i would check the fuel pressure, you could have a weak fuel pump or clogged fuel filter.
you could also have a bad temp sensor.there is two of them on your car.

the question I have is; does it do it when it's cold or warm?
you always want to start from the least to most expensive.
good luck
