There is a fuse box under the hood with the big relays that plug into the car right in front of the coolant over flow tank use a screw driver and loosen the two big screws and take it off and turn it over and look inside it and it will tell you which one is the relay for the air sus.

Air pump

Tom is right , only one relay for the fuel pump . What's up with the air pump ? Your vehicle doesn't have an air pump , that's why fuse doesn't do anything . An it would take a 25 amp fuse. So what's your problem ? You just go looking for fuse's ,no problem . That is suppose to be empty .

Two fuse in the central junction box F2.14 10 amp an F2.20 10 amp these power the climate control panel . Relay one has nothing to do with it . If the fuse's are good you need a new control panel .

I have 2001 x5 4.4 its low from the back the sus its not working i have that msg self level sus inact

The cause of your concern could be a faulty Air Susp. Fuse, Rear Susp. air Spring, Air Lines, Air Control Valves or Open/short circuit.

I Suggest you to check the following if you want to check it by your self first;
  1. Check the Fuse located at rear side of truck.
  2. Check both rear the Air Srings for possible cracks especially at lower portion of rubber (folding area)
  3. Using water with soap, check rear both air lines and springs for possible air leak.if possible check it in different hight level. Replace both air springs if found evident of air leak.
  4. Swap Rear and Front Hight level sensor if possible. If the problem transfer to front then replace Sensor.
  5. Check Air control Valve fro possible stuck up, knock it several times gently and observe. If doesn't make change, check power suppy with voltmeter. If you couldn't find the problem then Bring it to BMW Service Center.
Good luck.

Fuse blows when air conditioner is turned on

there is a loose ground and or wrong size fuses for the air
if loose ground you will want to have a certified mechanic trace the grounds back to source
i dont think it could be relay but there is a way to check this
find the relay panel in the engine compartment open it
find the relay that says air conditioning
pull it out
now there are numbers on that relay
in that same relay box theres relays about 6 to 8 of them that look similar to the air conditioning relay
this is where the numbers come in if the numbers match switch with other relays
mark the air conditioning relay with black marker or nail polish so you know which relay is which
if its the relay thats bad the new relay from the relay box put in its place will work fine
put the old one back in the slot where you took out the other relay out of and then proceed to dealer to purchase new relay for your vehicle if the relay was the problem
