How do you jumpstart an ac compressor 96 buick lesabre

Have AC drained, remove serp belt, jack up car and remove lower front access panels, unplug wiring , remove 13or 15mm bolt from manifold lines on back of compressor,remove the 4 mounting bolts.

Depends on what kind of noise and where its coming from.
Could be a problem inside the compressor, or the ac clutch, or something else.
Did you get a warranty with the compressor ?

Most likely you have a seized AC compressor. When you ask for AC or heat the AC clutch engages with the pulley wheel that normally spins freely when the AC is off. As the pulley wheel is no longer able to turn because of the seized compressor the belt will either slip or snap.

Hello: Drain oil out of old compressor, measure amount and put that amount in new compressor. Approximately 8 oz.

Remove AC belt. remove pipes & unscrew the compressor

get an a/c compressor bypass pulley from auto zone

The best way to know how much oil is needed is to first drain the old compressor. If the old compressor has more that 2oz, add the amount that came out of the old compressor. If less than 2oz, add only 2oz.

yes you can just ask for the belt for the same car without ac and do not forget to ask for a belt diagram

on some gms you need to hook up a scan tool and reset the ac pressure switches.
