Left brake light stays on constantly when headlights are on. When headlights are off, left brake light is dimmer than right brake light when brakes are applied. I did recently change the brake bulb. Also, fuse for low beams just started blowing last night, about a week after I replaced a low beam bulb.

Replace both lights bulb

Your right brake light is fried. The fact that you see rear lights on both sides has nothing to do with the fact that the right brake light is out. Your brake lights and rear running lights are not the same bulbs. Go to Advance Auto Parts. They may even replace it for you. Not a big deal.

Check headlight dimmer, signal light switch. This is a combination switch and Lumina has a bad problem with these. Holdbrake while someone is looking and jiggle light switch.

It may sound silly, but check your brake light bulbs to see if they have been installed incorrectly. Brake light bulbs have two filaments, one for tail light, and a brighter one for brake lights. On some cars if the bulb is installed wrong, the brighter filament will stay on for tail lights. The only other thing I can think of is the wrong bulbs have been installed.

check brake light switch on brake pedal could have pushed out of its scket or its possibly bad .try holding brake pedal down and pushing brake light switch in some then release brake pedal and check to see if lights go out

I think your trouble is in the turn signall switch, just had the same trouble on my truck. Turn signall switch is about $250 because it is actually turn signalls, wipers, washers, 4 ways, and dimmer all in one.

Rear lights are double filament bulbs one side for the lights other side for the brake/turn signals so it still may be a bulb. Do u have a test light or volt meter you can check to make sure u have power there when brakes or turn signals are activated. Or just try another bulb.

There should be at least 2 bulbs in the light assembly. One light is the light that is on when you turn on your headlights with out the brake pressed, the other light only lights up while you press on the brake. Make sure you are replacing the correct bulb. You may have been replacing the bulb that stays on. Your lights may be set up to turn off the light that stays on when the headlights are on while pressing the brakes.
