You cannot accuratly check the freon level without compressor engaged. Without car running that needle better be pegged or its low. Charge with car running with dials set to max cool with fan speed on hi. Slowly while charging with compressor engaged bring it up to 2K rppms while filling. Should take around 3 cans. Get the stuff with stop leak.

Hi my mercedes e240 1999 airconditioner just stopped working wont kick into cold air have had a check done it has gas so im not sure what is wrong also had the fuses checked and nothing wrong there either...

If there is no refrigerant in the system you have a leak.
I suggest taking the vehicle to a shop who employes HVAC technicians or equilavents. Dealing with refrigerants is dangerous and illegal if your not certified to do such.

Air conditioner isn't blowing cold air

Could be a number of things...electrical connections causing the compressor not to run. Turn on AC and turn your thermostat all the way to visually check to see if compressor is engaged and not just free wheeling. Most likely you lost your refridgerant due to leak in the system...would need to find leak and repair then have your system re-charged with refridgerant. Best case scenario...your system just needs a charge of refridgerant due to not having enough.

Only cold air from my heater on e300 turbo diesel

The Most common Cause for your Heat to stop blowing, is low engine coolant. If there is not enough coolant in your system, your heater coil will not function. Check the level of your Engine coolant.
