No spark to the plugs check the voltage from the ignition coils check that voltage is coming into the coil first if none go to the module if there is voltage coming in ground a plug wire against the block and get someone to turn the key if it sparks it's good if not change the coil/S and next time be more specific about the year and what type of problem more info is needed to explain the problem but I gave you the info on what I think you mean
Since the coil is getting power you need to get a spark tester or pull a cord of one spark plug and lay it on the engine and have some crank the engine. You should see and hear a spark. If not check fuses and check the ignition module - that is the device that tells the the coil to send a spark. You could also remove the wire from the coil to the dist cap and look for a spark.
If there is no power to the coil trace back wards toward the battery till you find power. If you have power at the battery but none to the coil an intermediated link in the circuit is faulty. I f power gets to the coil but none comes out of it I would replace it
If the check engine light does NOT light up on the dash, when you first turn on the ignition, then the ecu computer is in need of repair. That computer controls spark and fuel and both will not work if that ecu needs repair.
do you have spark coming from your coil to distributor,or no spark right from coil? if you have spark coming from coil, and nothing at any plugs, check you dist. cap and rotor button.Chrysler's are famous for the cap and rotor button to corrode, you may be able to just clean the corrosion off with some fine sand paper,or might have to replace them. if you have no spark coming from coil, check for power and ground to coil.if both are present, replace coil.
Check if there is any power going to the primary winding of the coil. There should be roughly 12 volts on side of the primary. If there is none check for a blown fuse.
this vehicle has coil packs for the ignition correct? have you ran the engine at night with all surrounding lights outs so its really dark. spray a mist of water on the coil packs and spark plug wires to see if you have spark/voltage leaks jumping out from them. sometimes the tiny sparks will be so fine and skinny you can barely see them so it needs to be dark. hope this helps your trouble shooting.
a coil pack could have such a fine crack for the voltage to leak from that you cant see it.
