The fuel filter is usually found next to the fuel tank (driver side). It'll be somewhat tucked up under just between the wheel well and the tank.
Some have clamps, others have metal threaded inserts that the filter screws into. Before removing, find your the fuel port on the fuel rail and unscrew the black threaded tip; press the needle inside and (cover with rag or hand) and release the pressure.
You will still have some fuel leakage when removing the filter, but this is unavoidable. Releasing the pressure will keep you from being sprayed with fuel (rarely happens, but allows less fuel loss).
