Click on the link, the diagram is for starter motor. Will the starter motor crank the engine? If it cranks good but won't start, make sure battery has a full charge and connections all good. Have a helper crank it while you check for spark at the plugs. Spark everywhere, use a gage and check proper fuel pressure. Check fuel injector pulse. Any applicable trouble codes. Those are the basic checks, in my opinion.
The power for the data link connector is from a 25amp fuse Number 7 in the IP fuse box. As long as the check engine light is on the computer has power. The main computer power is from two ECM fuses in the box near the battery. The fuse locations should be in the back of your owners manual.

Pull a spark plug wire out, put it on one of the old spark plugs, make sure the spark plug is touching metal (needs to be grounded) and have someone turn the engine over, to see if there is a spark.
If there is no spark, the most likely problem is the ignition control module.

Chk. all fuses, there is a fuse for injectors, If no spark at plugs chk ignition fuse and switch, and chk. fuse for e.c.m. Can't help with diagram. Parts dept. chevy dealer will print you one out.
