Remove the sender unit and check the connection pipes to the pump ,think you will find the problem here
still remove it and check it as a it wouldnt be the first time i have replaced with a new unit and a week later it develops a fault ,your problem sounds like a feed pipe from the pump to the outlet is split or loose causing a loss of fuel pressure ,another trick i do to eliminate a problem or to help find the problem is to run a wire from the battery direct to the pump and see what happens ,but be warned to look for a bad earth as well as this will cause the pump to slow once pressure builds up a bit ,all weird and wonderful faults i know but ?? its known as the joys of being a mechanic when you get it right first time your a marvel and then another time a know nothing (swear word)
right then check for power at the relay, you should have two 121v supplies one a permant supply and another from the ignition switch ,i wouldnt mind betting that your problem is a corroded/dirty connection in the fuse box under the bonnet near the battery the one with the big heavy amp fuses so your not getting a supply to the relay inside the car
