Question about 2005 Dodge Caravan
Bad or lose gas cap:
Also check the conections and hoses on the canister near the frame drivers side under hood and than see if the code returns, if you follow the small vac lines back you will also find a electric purge valve solenoid, there is a little vent on there you also need to check connections and vacuum lines.
If that don't do it replace the purge valve, note gas cap can "look good" and still leak, if you did not actcually do a vacumm test on it you may just be spending good money on the wrong part.
In cases like these you cannot tell if something is faulty or not by looking at it, it must be tested. Try borrowing a cap from someone that is not having the problem, then reset your PCM and drive around for a half hour or so, if the code does not trip the MIL, THEN it is the cap. if the MIL does trip THEN it is the purge valve, only reliable way to "look at it"
Thank you for using fiya and good luck
