If wheel is turned to the left or right too far it will fight u... Which ever way wheel is turned force steering wheel a lil more that way and should be able to turn key. The steering wheel lock when turned too much locks so tight you have ta fight it that lil bit more before it will let you turn the key.

beleave it or not you may have a blown feuse check fuse box

if the key itself doesnt turn its not an alarm issue its the ignition switch itself u need to replace it, it is worn out

Check your fuel pressure it should be between 30-45 psi with key on engine off.If pressure is below 30 psi replace fuel pump.

if it is a manual lever that is normal if it is electronic switch you have a problem. since there is no solinoid nor is there a syncronizer it has to fight the motor a bit which is why you cant be moving .

Set the fan speed switch to position #2. Grab the fan speed knob and pull it straight off. It might fight you a bit, but it will come off. Once you have the knob off, lookinside the control unit and you will see the bulb. I have seen these just fall out of the socket on their own.

chk at the base of the steering column on the top side. Ther you should feel or see the ignition switch itself. It is replaceable but may only need adjusting A little cramped to get to, but you do not need to pull out the column. Good Luck - Ned
