I got a Civic '02 the drl sign lights up and loud noise is coming from the glove compartment area. After investigation I found out the right light is not on while the left is fine (when the drl sign shows up and the car makes noise). sometimes switching to high beam for a second fixes this. The noise and sign goes away and the right light appears again. Also putting on the head light turns off the noise but when turning them off the car goes back to the noise/sign showing. eventually after you start the car first in the morning after a while both lights do turn back on but the right one is more brighter then the left one all the time. If i install a hid kit 8000k would this problem styll arise?

The DRL stands for daytime running lights. There is an electronic module that controls the operation of this that is located under the dash, which is probably where your noise is coming from. The noise goes away when you turn your headlights on because the DRL will disengage. I have replaced these before on civics and it should cure your problem. When ordering your part ask for a "daytime running light module". Hope this helps.

2007 Subaru forester. Need to replace the daytime running light module. Where is it located?

The 2007 is very similar to the 2005, which has the DRL box behind the glove compartment, at the top center. It's clearly marked DRL.

Hmmm, the blower motor is right behind the glovebox. Does the noise and vibration change when you adjust the blower speed?

Accord se 02 DRL light stay on even after i change the new bulb.

That DRL light on your dash indicates that your Daytime Running Lights are on. It's supposed to be on, nothing wrong with your bulbs.

Have a honda odessey 2000. needs a new DRL relay; but cant find it under the dash _any ideas _

the daytime running lights control unit is behind the glove box. You must first remove the glove box to access the control unit. However, the fuses that supply power to control unit functions are accessible in several fuse boxes. the No. 3 and 8 fuses (15A) and No. 14 fuse (40A) in the engine compartment fuse box, the No. 5 fuse (7.5A) in the driver's kick panel fuse box, and the No. 6 fuse (10A) in the passenger's kick panel fuse box all supply power in some way to the DRL unit. Other inputs that can affect the DRL system include a faulty parking brake switch, faulty combination light switch, faulty headlight relays or blown bulbs, and even the brake fluid float switch.
