There is no BODY CONTROL module, but there is a Front Electronic module FEM, and a rear electronic module,REM (not the rock group,LOL!).
The FEM is located behind the driver's kick panel and the FEM is located on the right side down in the trunk.
The REM controls: Rear windows, , all rear lights, trunk opening, fuel door release, rear window defrost grid, trunk ajar switch, front passenger door lock, , front passenger door lock switch, rear door locks, trunk light, fuel pump, fuel level senders, antenna booster.
Look in your trunk. Pull down or away the carpeted lining which covers the rear seat back wall. You will find a fuse box panel on the left passenger side when you do this.
It can be fuse problem.Or it can be door latch problem. There should be a small pull tab inside trunk on the left side behind fuel door area.Pull this tab to open fuel door until the automatic open feature can be diagnosed and repaired.remove the material from the drivers side of the trunk around the area where the fuel door is located and you should find a method of manual release. A latch or possibly a pull cable. -----------------------Thank you.
You'll have to test each fuse with a tester that lights up when a fuse is bad and it is powered if you can't find the sticker that has the fuse locations and guide for the abbreviations.
For the right side the fuses are 1 Door Locks, Trunk Pull-Down, Fuel Door Release 2 Power Antenna, Lock Switch, Trunk Release 3 Horns 4 not used 5 Cruise Control, Misc. Engine Controls 6 Fuel Pump 7 Injectors 8 Powertrain Control Module, Pass-Key II 9 Not used 10 Not used 11 A/C programmer 12 Not used
The order for the fuses go up in down in columns. First row 1-4 etc.
with a 12 volt test light check fuse ( #22 not entirely sure, or in the 20's ) 20A fuse blown. controls both trunk release and fuel door. Hope this helps.
