2009 Yaris VSS with manual transmission. Speedo and odo don't work and MIL has code Po500. No ABS light. Where is the location of the VSS sensor?

The Vehicle speed sensor comes from the combination meter , and that comes from the ABS ECU first . Could be a shorted wire , to ground , usually has something to do with the radio installation but faulty meter is a possibility .

How do I reset toyota yaris 2010 2 door engine immobilizer

Please hook up the scan tool, pull out the error code number/ numbers and post them here.
Dealing with the engine immobilizers is a big deal and requires the proper equipment and knowledge. But again nothing could be done without knowing about the error codes.

No brake lights

There must be an error code when such problems occur. Electrical Load Sensor (ELS) determines the status of the electrical system if any electrical load is applied when the car is moved and send this signal to the ECM. Please try to retrieve the CEL error codes, if any. Otherwise check the following:
1. Brake stop switch fuse (mostly 10 Amps and red in color) under the glove box on passenger side.
2. Brake switch connector located at the foot brake pedal.
3, Harness wiring.
4. Tail lamp assembly or bulbs.
