2002 pontiac grand am gt 99k miles just died on the side of the road and wont start. when it was killing itself it had loss of power, gas pedal did nothing when you pushed it down, 3 small sounds that sounded like a real weak back fire?

FIRST CHECK FUEL PUMP FUSE AND RELAY THEN.CHECK FUEL PUMP PRESSURE IT SHOULD BE 41 - 47 PSI.MAKE FUEL FILTER NO STOP UP.

MY 99 PONTIAC GRAND PRIX HAS TROUBLE STARTING.....

check ur idle air control valve,purge valve and could be clogged catalytic converter depnding on how many miles, could be anyone of these good luck
