Where is fill to add automatic trans fluid to 2008 BMW 650i under the hood?

The automatic transmission fluid fill location on a 2008 BMW 650i can vary depending on the specific model and transmission type, but generally it is located under the hood and accessed through a dipstick tube.

To locate the dipstick tube for the automatic transmission fluid, follow these steps:

1. Open the hood of the vehicle and locate the transmission fluid dipstick. The dipstick handle is usually yellow, red, or black and is labeled with "ATF" or "trans."
2. Remove the dipstick from the tube and wipe it clean with a lint-free cloth or paper towel.
3. Reinsert the dipstick all the way back into the tube and then remove it again. The fluid level on the dipstick should indicate the current level of transmission fluid.
4. If the fluid level is low, you will need to add automatic transmission fluid. To add fluid, remove the dipstick and use a funnel to pour the fluid into the dipstick tube. Be sure to use the correct type of transmission fluid specified in your owner's manual.
5. Check the fluid level again with the dipstick to make sure it is at the correct level. Add more fluid as needed.

Note: It is important to follow the recommended procedure for checking and adding transmission fluid to your BMW 650i to avoid overfilling the system, which can cause damage to the transmission. If you are unsure about the location of the dipstick or how to properly add fluid, consult your owner's manual or a qualified mechanic for assistance.

Broken dipstick removal on 1.8l Nissan Sentra.

There have been issues with dipstick handles breaking off and dipstick stuck in tube. Here is a simple way to remove that broken dipstick. On the valve cover there is a hose that leads to the intake tube. Remove this hose and with a blow nozzle blow compressed air into the valve cover. The broken dipstick will shoot out of the tube. Simply install the new dipstick into the tube.

My oil dipstick broke off. Can you tell me the easiest way to retrieve the stick to replace with new

Many dipstick holders are bolted to the engine...removing this bolt and the dipstick tube should also retrieve the dipstick...you may need a new tube, as well as dipstick...Hope this helps.

How do i check for oil ?

Look for the dipstick marked Oil. It is usually yellow or red. With the engine off, pull out the dipstick. Wipe the dipstick clean and place it back where you got it. Pull it out again and there is a set of marks on the end of the dipstick marked full and low. If the oil covers the low mark but not the full mark you're okay. If the dipstick is still clean then oil will need to be added until the oil appears on the dipstick between the marks.

Where is the dipstick located on a automatic transmission on a 1998 chevy prizm

You will open the hood and pull the transmission dipstick out of the top of the transmission. Wipe the fluid off the dipstick with a rag and then reinsert the dipstick into the transmission. Then, pull the dipstick back out and check the fluid level.

Keep in mind that the dipstick has markings to show you where the low and full points are on the stick.

Hope this helps (remember to rating this free answer).

Need to know how to check oil in transmition in a 95 ford aspire

Check the engine oil level every time you fill the gas tank. The car should be on level ground when checking the oil.
  1. Turn the car off and wait several minutes.
  2. Locate the engine oil dipstick and withdraw it from the tube.
  3. Wipe the dipstick with a clean rag and reinsert it in the dipstick tube.
  4. Remove the dipstick again, hold the dipstick horizontally and observe the level of the oil.

Fig. 2: Observe the oil level on the dipstick and add oil if it is low

  1. The oil level should be at the FULL mark on the dipstick.
  2. If the level is at or near the LOW mark, replace the dipstick and add fresh oil to bring the level up to the FULL mark. Do not overfill.
  3. Recheck the oil level and close the hood.

Good luck, and remember rated this help!!!
