Have a 96 Olds Cutlass Supreme, brake lights will not work. We've replaced bulbs, fuses and brake light switch and still nothing. Help!

I have a 1989 olds cutlass supreme. My turn signals will come on but they won't blink. What could be the problem. I've checked the fuse, bulbs and its neither of those. My hazard and brake lights...

sound like you need a directional switch

1997 olds cutless brake lights will not work. bulbs, fuse and switch are good

Its a faulty turn signal switch.Try this,push down and hold brake pedal while pushing on the hazard switch and if the brake lights come on then replace the signal switch.

I have a 95 olds cutlass supreme and my brakelights have stopped working, i have changed all the interior fuses, the brakelight switch and all the bulbs, my turn signal lights and my tail lights work but...

check voltage from brake switch to signal light switch, if good the the signal switch is probably bad

1989 olds cutlass supreme. None of the brake lights work. All other lights work. Fuses are good.

You probably have a bad brake light switch. This switch is located on the brake pedal arm or a bracket next to the arm. This switch activates the brake lights when the pedal is pushed. You can check this by turning on your turn signals or warning flasher if your light flash in the rear. Your bulbs are good so this will bring you back to the brake light switch.

On my 1995 olds cutlass supreme, both rear brake lights dont work simultaneously, then sometimes they do, checked fuses but they are ok, bulbs are still good, what could be wrong?

Check switch at brake pedal and relay in fusebox. Recommend replace brake light relay, as inexpensive way to possible solution.

1994 olds custlass supreme brake lights are out fuse is good put new brake light switch in still out park and turn works but no brake light all bulbs good

Replace the turn signal switch.

I have a 1997 olds cutlass supreme and have no brk lites

sounds like a bad or loose ground wire, it would be located in the trunk near the tail light assembly, the other switch is for the cruise contro, it's what cuts the cruise when you hit the brakes.

No brake lights and abs light is on in the dash lights on a 1994 olds cutlass supreme...checked bulbs, fuses and changed the brake switch...none of that worked...all the other lights work fine...can not...

Change your turn signal switch in the steering column 99% sure that is your problem you can some times check by holding the brake pedal down and wiggling the the switch around and have someone watch to see if the come on

88 olds cutlass, no brake lights

Your brake light circuit runs thru your turnsignal switch if your hazard switch is on your column I have seen numerous inop brake lights caused by faulty turn signal switches.

Try having someone push on brake pedal at the same time thay move the turn signal lever up and down slightly to see if your brake lights work this would tell me that you have a faulty turn signal switch because GM runs the brake lights thru the turn signal switch so they work if you are driving with your 4way flashers on.

hell yea your the man if i turn my signal it works but if my signals are off the wont work how can i fix that tho
