For 2006 MDX we had a complete service at the end of Jan. The battery just died yesterday. It had significant build up on the positive post and the service dept. said that the battery leaked which caused the cables too also corrode. The battery was approx. 2yrs old.(same prob before) My contention is that the cables should not corrode in less than 120 days without being identified during a complete service 120 day ago? Any validity to my point? Thanks

The early GM products would build up restance in the wire that went from the alternator to the starter. The easy cure for this is to install a 10 guage wire directly from the Alternator Batt. lug directly to the battery postive post. Do this using the correct end connectors.. do not just wrap the wire around the termanel. This was a big problem on these cars. especially the Diesel cars. Always disconnect the battery ground terminal before you work on this.

You need to get the serial number off the sticker attached to the radio. It will require pulling apart your dash. Call an Acura dealership with that serial number and they should be able to provide you the code. Or you can take it directly to the dealer but you will be charged labor.

Bluetooths have batteries, Rechargeable. If it won't hold a charge replace the batt.

1. Turn ignition switch to "on" position.
2. Open passenger window completely from passenger side window switch.
3. Close passenger window completely from passenger side window switch, and hold switch for an additional 2 seconds.
4. Turn ignition back to "lock" position.

That's it. Works like a champ. And here you thought it was more than just a battery dying....I did.
