97 ford explorer a/c quit-the a/c clutch is not kicking in

You have lost the charge and that is commonly due to a couple of built in problems, these are, the AC line "O" rings leak after they harden up from heat and then on top of that the AC condenser leaks due to vibration, the condenser core will pass a vacuum test but it will be defective, so replace all the AC line "O" rings with the new design and replace the AC condenser core. A special tool is required to release the lines to service the "O" rings and any parts store will have the kit. I did hundreds of these at my Ford dealer

I've got water shooting out my tail pipe on my 96 Chevy cavelier. There's no water or white smoke any where. What's this mean?

If its real water, it could be condensation which is normal, especially if the air temp is cool and damp.
If its actually coolant, its probably a leaking head gasket.

97 Nissan Maxima heat still blowing when AC is on

Well thinking about the problem there e a flap in the vent pipes to shut off theatre and ac unit perhaps something has got in the pipe and stopping it closing or perhaps your heater control is US and needs replaceing . ( but I take it you have turned your heater to cold )

The AC evaporator is leaking on my 97 grand cherokee. Floor boards full of water. The evaporator was replaced 2 years ago. What should I do?

The drain tube for the evaporator case is plugged with various debris which allows the normal accumulation of condensed water to overflow the case onto the floorboard. Run a brush or similar tool into the tube which should immediately drain the cavity. If you catch the water in a pan, inspect it for debris. This should work ok for a year or so, then re-clean the drain as needed. The more the AC is run, the more debris will accumulate. Hope this helps!

I have a squeeking in my front belt area on my '97 Jeep grand cherokee. I have replaced bearings and cleaned pulleys. It will not stop-Help!!

I just had my AC condenser pump realigned for the same belt noise issue. They also discovered the bolts holding the condenser in place were stripped out from the previous owner. I now have no belt noises! I had replaced the idler and bearing and have been through 3 belts before we figured this out!
