Fuel pump relay . you should hear the fuel pump run for 5 seconds as soon as you turn the key on .after that the cranking sensor takes over when engine it turned over to start

Testimonial: "Great response time. Will further advise when relay is replaced."

Hello, same as Matt, first my horn didn't work,is it unplugged, then I plug the horn, does not function .unlocks remotely and then the alarm begins to function!unplug quickly..I am French.THANK YOU

posting to USA Forum with a French car.
ok, its a CRD diesel, common rail diesel. we have no books on it here, nor car. my guess near same car as our Liberty
does car drive ok? engine run ok, and all things on car work ok but your listed items?
So the alarm is failing.
So the doors unlock ok, with the key fob, but then the alarm goes off. Id say, it needs help. get car serviced, or at least scanned.
if both key fobs fail, (do you have both, if no OOPS) get it serviced.
so does engine start and run, after unplugging horn.
does it?
if not does it crank over,(start spin over engine>?"
if no , then battery is dead.

2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.0 Mercedes CRD will not start

does it start and run for 3 seconds on test fuel

yes, engine ok, EFI bad.

no, bad engine, engine must be good to run.

EFI cant run bad engines..

so compression at spec......????

why beat the EFI to death,

all engines run on test fuel.

with gas engines, takes spark and good engine

on diesel, takes only good engine. simple huh (and some air)

for test fuel try diesel in a spray bottle into the injection port.

google this

or use youtube on test fuel on any diesel car. or truck

this is called basics....... basic basics.

1: good engine, and pumps air ok. (must breath)

2: good fuel.

3: test fuel works now. if not check above.

Fuel engine control module, or fuel return pressure limiting valve?

Well, first of all, it would be really nice to know what kind of vehicle we are talking about. YEAR, MAKE, MODEL and ENGINE SIZE / TYPE is usually customary for this type of discussion.

What is particularly disturbing is the question of: How are you going about "put[ting] more fuel into the fuel filter"?

Intermittantly when im in stop & go traffic my jeep 1997 grand cherokee will die (stop running). ill wait afew minuts and it starts fine & i usually get to my destination, but this is unacceptable....

self test is with the ignition key switch. you need to cycle the key off-on, off-on, off-on. The check engine light will flash out codes in pairs of numbers. The end of the test will be 5-5. report back with codes. But I'm betting its the crank position sensor.

Hello ,your fuel pump is losing its prime and running back into the tank. Two things could be wrong either a bad fuel pressure regulator or the fuel pump itself:)

93 ZJ 4.0L has intermittent fuel-pressure drop when starting

You have a good theory but haven't finished testing so you can verify it...check actual fuel delivery when in no-start...also probe the pump wire on the pump side of the harness and see if you are in fact not getting power to the pump all the time. (also in no-start). Don't test after it gets started, or testing will tell you what you already know...It runs fine once started...tests will then tell you it's fine (you know it's not) Problem itself could be anything from a bad connection somewhere to a balky pump.
