We have a 2000 Buick LeSabre the message light keeps coming on, it says check stability system. We have not found anybody who knows how to fix this or even what it means. It comes on at different times under different driving conditions. We just replaced the front sturts. How do we get this light to stop coming on?

The problem is probably caused by wheel bearing leads (the wires that plug into) they often wear out I had the same problem once u find out witch side try cleaning the plugs wiping clean free the dirt , salt ,ect but on one side I just bypass the plug ran jumper wires that solve the problem sometime the computer will reset it self sometime you have to take posative cable off wait 5 mins reconnect this will reset everything

SOURCE: service stability system

one of the four load stability sensors (one at each wheel suspention arm) has gone awry. Computer diagnostics (Advanced scan tool) will tell you which one. Suggest replace both on front or both on rear (whichever the case)

SOURCE: 2000 Buick LeSabre Struts

Yes there are struts on the front and shocks on the back. 2 of each. They are around $50-100 for the fronts. $30-100 for the rears depending if the car has air ride or not.

What does it mean when the battery saver active light come on in a 2000 buick lesabre

Hi there:
That sounds like your battery may be weak then. You will need to charge it and test it again. This is set because the system is seeing a drain on the system.

Then you need to test for the drain, check HERE.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.

Service stabilizer light comes on, how do you service it. our buick is a 2002 Buick La Sabre, 4dr.

The message means that a fault has occurred in the system and you need to have it diagnosed by the dealer with a special testing tool called a scanner, it is not some kind of a service like an oil change that is performed on a regular basis, the message is kind of misleading and i get this question often..

The low tire pressure light keeps coming on and i need to know how to fix it. 2005 buick lesabre

Put whatever air pressure you use, in all your tires,
don't forget to check the pressure in the
spare.

If light stays on ,go to a tire store,
as a wheel valve stem assy, may have failed

TPMS (tire pressure monitor system)

Service stability system message appears

i believe your vehicle has air ride suspension in addition to coil springs. i would check the lines that run from the air pump to the air bags. they will black lines that are located near each strut and will go to a pump that is located somewhere iether underneath the vehicle or inside a fender.

Where is the dam vats moduale located on a 02 buick lasabre

You can check behind the glove box in your model. Everybody I know with LeSabre and Park Ave 95-2000 found it there. There are good chances it's still there in 02. You can also have a look at this site if you are working on the security system: http://vatspasskey.com . This is where I found the solution for my car.

2000 Buick leSabre - sensors keep coming off & on. I'll be driving along & then the radio will turn off, the seat belt light comes on, the service engine soon light comes on , then lights will go off, the...

sounds like a battery ground, check chassis ground strap coming from - batt terminal to the body. Also the one bellhousing bolt in front of engine down by the starter has ground for sensors.
Check there ,make sure it's tight.
