Look at the belts themselves, the size is written on the surface of the belt.

Im trying to empty some oil from my 1996 nissan sentra gxe, i accendently overfilled it. where do i empty it from and how?

This will be a 2 person operation so be ready for this. It works great!!!!
If you have a shop vacuum, turn it on, remove the oil cap and cover the oil cap hole. Have some one under the vehicle and take out the drain plug using a 14mm wrench or suitible tool. Have a drain pan under the hole (oil pan). When ready have the person holding the vacuum remove the hose briefly to drain the oil. When you fill enough has drained then reinstall the plug and check you oil level. If more needs to be drained then repeat above steps till you achive you correct oil level.
besure to always replace drain plug washer/ gasket so you do not create an oil leak.
Hope this helps solve your concern.

Nissan Sentra/Pulsar/NX 1982-1996 Repair Guide
The alternators for Pulsar and Sentra have not changed much over the years. However, the 1987-88 alternators for Pulsar and Sentra have a different internal diode assembly.
  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
  2. Disconnect the 2 lead wires and connector from the alternator.
  3. Loosen the drive belt adjusting bolt and remove the belt.
  4. Unscrew the alternator attaching bolts and remove the alternator from the vehicle.
To install:
  1. Install the alternator and retaining bolts loosely.
  2. Install the belt and connect the wiring.
  3. Adjust the belt as outlined in . Torque the retaining bolts to 25 ft. lbs. (34 Nm).

I hope help you with this (rated this help).

Using a short socket of appropriate metric value, and a pry bar; Push the pry bar toward the firewall to loosen the tension on the belt. It's not that hard once you buck the initial spiral spring pressure of the tensionor. I have even pryed against the tensionor with a blunt heavy bar and moved it enough to free a belt.

further diagnosis showed that the ingnition switch was fine it turned out to be a faulty 02 sensor that was making the engine run extremely rich, ruining the spark plugs.
