I have a 2000 BMW M roadster for 3 years.but right now I have a proble with the top.it won't OPEN or do Anything.foot is on the brake.hang brake is on car is in neutral and nothing.I replace the brake switch witch was a pain cause the space and is really stick in there but still won't do nothing.I che the fuse witch is the #1 and fuse is okay.So do someone has and idea what the problem can be???

This is a problem with your wiring harness near the cab/trunk line. I've been trying to diagnose my faulty top (looks like all mine is sensor problems) and I came accross this problem many times on bimmerfourms.com There is lots of useful information there.

It could be that the battery is shorted, it could be that the alternator is bad, it could be that the alternator circuits have an open or shorted circuit, it could be something as simple as a loose or corroded battery cable end. It could even be a combination of things like a shorted battery that has damaged the alternator and BOTH need to be replaced. Or it could be even something more simple like a light or other accessory was left on and caused the battery to drain and all you need to do is jump-start the engine to get the battery charging and turn the accessory off. You must test your battery/charging system and/or check all of your electrical accessories to find out which it is.
