Hi I have a 1995 Buick lesabre 3800 with high millage. Im experiencing a weird intermittent problem. When it's cool outside car runs great. When it get hot it cuts off but starts right back up. I have changed the plugs and wires and I have changed the fuel filter. This is such an annoying problem

I got emissions and tires balanced and now my speedometer is climbing up as im driving telling me that im going alot faster than i am on a 2004 buick lesabre custom
The Buick LaSabre custom is a 3800, I think. Your speedometor may very well be correct! Take it out on the highway and time yourself between mile markers. Those cars are very fast; if you got a good tire balance you may be going faster than it feels since the car is smoother riding now.

The engine will trade out the things you might want to do is take all the old top end parts like intake and fuel rails off and put it on the new engine u will use some of the sensors might have different plugs but you can interchange these sensors or wire plugs just watch all the things you put from one engine to the other the engine blocks are the same so the engine will interchange

Could be two things, your oil pump pick tube is clog, oil pan would have to be drop to check, or your camshaft bearing worn causing low oil pressure,I would not say piston rod bearing or main bearing, cause there's no knock noise. You will have better oil pressure when cold due to oil much thicker. so I would forget about a bad oil pump.
