Where is the crank sensor located I need to replace it

    there seems to be 2 sensors in the same general area is this correct? they both have a harness feeding from the same electrical supply I was able to pull one out but my replacement part does not fit into this spot. So is their another one beside this one?

Hi, behind the engine (driver's side), mid lower part on the engine block near the transmission. In order to access, you must remove the intake air hose. It will be hard to see it, the only way is to reach down and feel for the electrical harness that connects to it. hopefully this helps!!

    there seems to be another sensor in the same general area with an attaching harness I pulled out a sensor but it seems to be different than the sensor i got at the auto parts store did I pull out a different sensor?

The crank shaft sensor is located on the front of the engine under the timing cover. In order to replace it you will need to remove the timing belt.

2005 ford excursion cam sensor location I need to change the cam sensor and the crank sensors on my excursion and i do not know where they are located
On my 02 Excursion with the 7.3L Diesel, the Cam Position Sensor is located at the front bottom of the engine on the passengers side. There is one electrical pigtail plug that is attached and one bolt holds the sensor in position. It may be located in a similar location on your 05 Ex. I do not know where the crank sensor is located. I hope this helps.
