My1994 gmc jimmy has a trans problem it shifts fine when it is cold but after it runs for a bout 5 miles in the city ,,the transmition does not want to down shift to 1st gear it seams like it is locked in third or fourth gear ,and if u shift it manualy down to 1st it still wont go in first its like in 2nd and u can move the car .and when u put it back in drive it down shifts ....? whats the problem
I am sorry but i know this symptom on this exact transmission and u are going to need an overhaul.

has the fluid and filter been replaced? do u have any transmission codes?
well i do have new filter and fluid and i always put lucas in my transmission but i went off roading and then that's when the transmission started doing that and my buddy said it might be the pressure sensor
but when i put it just into the overdrive gear the truck just revs like its in netural
